Keeping Seniors Warm, a program of United Way Centraide North East Ontario / Nord-est de l'Ontario, is now accepting referrals for clients provided by social service agencies and other frontline providers in the community. Keeping Seniors Warm is a program for low-income, vulnerable seniors which allows them the opportunity to purchase warm winter clothing and accessories to stay safe during the winter months. By definition, clients will be:
? Age 55+
? Low income (defined as <$35,000 annually by CRA)
And can also be:
? Accessing or in need of access to social services, housing, food services, etc.
? An OW or ODSP recipient
? Otherwise disenfranchised
We ask agencies to refer those who will benefit most from the program, as spaces are limited, and first-come, first-served. Just a reminder that returning clients are able to participate once every 3 years in order to allow for as many people as possible to benefit. We want to thank you for your ongoing support of those in need in our communities.
