United Way Centraide North East Ontario is excited to announce the 2023 Day of Caring. The Day of Caring initiative is the United Way's response to helping fulfill needs in our community. We understand that sometimes maintenance and repairs or special projects are not completed due to health, financial, and personal restrictions, or that help may be needed through volunteer labour or donated supplies. These are the kinds of projects for which Day of Caring was designed.
We're looking for passionate, community-minded team from local companies (or group of friends and family!) to come together to volunteer their time and talents to help local organizations. Applications are now open, and must be completed and submitted no later than Friday, August 4, 2023 at 4 p.m. In order for the Day of Caring to be successful, we need your help to make the dreams of these important local organizaions come true! Jobs may range from painting, cleaning, gardening, and yard work to minor repairs, orassembling care kits, servinfs meals, and more.
Our volunteer committee will review each application before making any decisions on project matching. It is up to the discretion of the Day of Caring Committee to approve each application.
